ROCKIN' THE SUBURBS

WRITTEN 11/2/2015

Just like Michael Jackson did! I'm rockin the suburbs!

...except he was talented.

Hey everyone!

Well, it's been another week. But the big thing about last week was Halloween! Spooky. 2spooky.

So spooky, in fact, that missionaries aren't even allowed to go outside during this time! Because everyone thinks we are just idiots in costumes trying to get free candy, and also everyone wot have time to talk with us! So, what is a missionary supposed to do? Sit around in their apartment all night? That is an option. Or, what you can do is watch a little movie called...

REMEMBER THE TITANS.

That's right, we got permission for two zones to get together on Halloween and watch Remember the Titans! It was awesome, because we usually don't get to watch movies as missionaries. And the parts of overcoming racial differences actually really applies to the state of the Salt Lake City West mission right now: We all come from different mission backgrounds (Salt Lake, West, Central, South) and we are used to different ways to do things. We also are basically still in cliques, but as we realize that we are all  on the same team with the same objective, we will become an awesome team.

And that was probably the highlight of the week.

And also: there was this crazy light show Halloween setup that was absolutely fantastic. It's in the attached video.

There hasn't been a whole bunch going on right now, which is surprising because we cover 14 wards, so things should be crazy busy.
But we're starting to pick things up. It'll take a lot of work and a lot of prayers, but we will get things kicking.

In other news, for the first time in three years I threw up. Pretty sure it was food related, because after dinner last night I can't keep anything down except water. So that's been fun.

One thing about our area is that it's super rich suburbs, but in between neighborhoods there is a bunch of undeveloped fields. Makes really good photo ops.

Attached are some pics of those fields, and the time me and elder Woolf found a printer just in the middle of a parking lot, and also the sunrise yesterday that my Mom would be proud of!

Well, thats all I really have to write about today. Keep me updated on how things are going for all of you, too!

Love each one of you all!
